At this afternoon's conference call of the Statewide Coordinating Committee, PDM confirmed its endorsement of Deval Patrick and Tim Murray for re-election.

The decision was easily made in the wake of the dozens of emails received from across the state, in response to our request for input from our members. Those responses ran approximately 10 to 1 in favor of the endorsement, confirming the overwhelming consensus at our statewide membership meeting in January. The decision to endorse was the easy part. The hard work lies ahead. To win this election we will need to revitalize and expand the robust grassroots campaign that was the key to Deval Patrick's exhilarating campaign four years ago. Together we can do it again.

We'll be reaching out to you in the coming days with specific requests about the ways our chapters and our members in areas without chapters can play vital roles in the campaign. Please be as generous as you can with your time and energy.
