This is the first of several phone banks we are planning.  This one will identified supporters in the districts of members of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, which will vote on July 22nd (the full House votes on the 29th & the Senate after the August recess)  to urge them to contact their Rep. and lobby for reform.  We also need to contact Kerry and our Rep. (Frank, in our case) to thank them and encourage their continuing support of health care reform.  Later, the plan is to have Massachusetts folks call identified supporters in Maine to get them to contact their Senators Snowe and Collins, the only moderate Republicans left in the Senate, to urge their support.

Given this time frame, we will host a phone bank this Monday evening at Chobee Hoy's office, 18 Harvard St, beginning at 6:30 pm with call lists, phone scripts and talking points from the organizers. 

We are asking everyone to please bring a cell phone and a charger, in case we run out of landlines.  We hope that you and other PDM members can join us at the phone bank.  Please RSVP to either ksmith1450@aol.com or cathleencavell@gmail.com.  Also, please stay tuned for more opportunities to make a difference at the grass roots.
